Cabela's

Have you ever planned a day for your kids that you thought would be fun and they whine and complain about it every step of the way? If you answered yes then you must be a parent.

Brian and I went to Cabela's a few months ago on a date and I kept thinking " this place is so cool, I want to bring the kids." So off we went to have fun filled family day. They argued the entire way up there, which is like 40 minutes. As soon as we step out they all complain about being hungry. Katrina said she was bored as soon as she saw the exterior of the place. So after shutting them up with kettle corn we headed inside.

As you can see from the look on Katrinas face she was not very happy about being there. She was appalled at the taxidermied animals that covered the place. I know shes an animal lover but I figured she could at least enjoy the beauty of all the different animals. But I was wrong.Andrew thought the Wolverine and the Giant Polar Bear were pretty cool.

Brianna liked the Sea Lion.

They did like the shooting gallery. Jenna was timid about trying it at first. She told me to shoot it for her, but I made her do it herself. She loved it once she gave it a try. After we looked at a few things we headed down to the General store where Brian let them each get two pieces of fudge. We'll see if they can sleep after all that sugar.

We didn't spend as much time there as we would have liked. From now on The kids will be staying home when we go to Cabela's. (As a side note, Katrina can't sleep tonight because the giant Polar Bear is chasing her in her thoughts). This should be a fun night.
