My lego creator
Sometimes I forget to blog about the little every day things that my kids do. This is Andrew and One of his best buds, Drake. They both have a love for legos and building things.
This is their monkey they created. I just wish there were not legos covering the entire rec room floor all the time:)

Happy Birthday Quinton
I can't believe that my baby has turned 3. We had a pretty low key birthday(again) and I made him a tractor cake. He was giddy with excitement as we worked on this cake together(all of 5 minutes). He is such a blessing to our family and he is always happy with the little things in life.
I always seem to load the pictures backwards but you get the idea. He shoved the cake in his face and it ended up going up his nose.

camporee
This year the Scout organization put on a Camporee at the fairgrounds. There was a Friday night campout and events all day to keep the boys busy and a nice campfire ceremony to end the day on Saturday. I loaded all the pictures in the wrong order but you get the idea.
Notice the fire is in a plastic swimming pool filled with sand. Yes, It did melt the plastic:)
Andrew getting his dinner ready. They gave the boys a plastic bag withtin foil, a hamburger patty, carrot, potato, and onion. Andrew rolled his patty out to flatten it with his carrot and then proceded to eat the carrot that rolled all over the raw meat!
The boys had a great time and were worn out by the time we got home.

Ape Caves Rain?
I wanted to do something with the kids this spring break so I thought going to the Ape caves would be a great idea...... well if you don't mind being soaked then I guess it was. We arrived to about 46 degree temperatures. the caves felt about the same. I was a little shocked that the water could make it's way through the lava and drench us about the same as being outside standing in the rain.
We did the 3/4 mile trail which was probably the better choice due to the weather. If you have never been inside a cave than you cannot really prepare yourself for the absolute darkness that encompasses you. You realize how much light the moon and stars actually give when you get past a certain point in the cave where light does not flow in.
Andrew and Jenna enjoyed being explorers!
We finally made it to the top to be greeted by SNOW!!! We had a great time considering we were all wet, tired and cold.
